REFERENCE ONLY. (SOLD or NOT FOR SALE) A fantastic very large18th century pond model of a British Ship-of-the-Line made circa, 18th-early19th century. Designed for the wealthy Officers to stage mock sea battles on private estates for tactical study and just plain fun. Black and white painted hull w/a very thick age patina. The mast(s) painted deep yellow. The spars have the original sails(sheets) bundled & tied(some loses to mice). The bottom keel line has a thick strip of lead for ballast. A very rare model of great detail and history.
Note; This model has had restoration of the rigging and minor hull work. We have not seen a model like this one outside of a Museum. Provenance; From the late Ramon Parga estate, master ship builder/Museum restorer... Measures; In full length 5'. )
