An Antique (PAIR) of French Flintlock Pistols, circa. 18th century.  7" .64 cal. octagon-to-round steel barrels.  Fine engraved steel furniture, period replaced brass butt caps, (originals were steel long-eared type, wood is filled in to recessed areas).  Locks are maker signed; "GAUVAIN ADULE".  Stocks have fine high relief and are solid w/light scratches and dings from years of use, alterations/modifications as described.  12" overall length.  Both pistols are in good working order.
 
This (PAIR) of Flintlock Pistols were used as PROPS. on set of;   Walt Disney's  PIRATES of the CARIBBEAN 2 (DEAD MANS CHEST) & 3 (AT WORLDS END), a Jerry Bruckheimer production.  A Gore Verbinski film.
