ON HOLDA Rare Antique English Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistol by, WILSON, LONDON, circa. 1740-1760. 8.5" steel blunderbuss barrel w/cannon muzzel, marked on side of breech w/(2) Proofs and "RW"(Robert Wilson, barrel maker). Lock marked; "WILSON" and has decorative engraving, sliding safty missing. Ornate brass furniture; wonderful pierced high-relief panoply -of-arms side plate and fine butt cap. All steel parts have a heavy dark brown/black age patina. Stock is solid w/normal light scratches and dings from years of handling. In good working order. 15" overall length.
This item was used as a PROP. on set of; Walt Disney's PIRATES of the CARIBBEAN 2 (DEAD MANS CHEST) & 3 (AT WORLDS END), a Jerry Bruckheimer production. A Gore Verbinski film.
