An Antique French Double Barrel Flintlock Pistol, circa. 18th century, used by, actor JOHNNY DEPP (Capt. Jack Sparrow) in PIRATES II. 8" .54 cal. octagon-to-round steel side-by-side barrels w/French Proof mark(at breech) and decorative engraving. Shaped and engraved steel furniture. Both locks have boarder engraving and are unsigned. Stock is solid w/high relief decoritive carving around barrel tang, lock mortise, trigger guard, and ram rod pipes, w/normal scratches and dings from years of handling. In good working order. 13.5" overall length.
This item was used on set of; Walt Disney's PIRATES of the CARIBBEAN 2 (DEAD MANS CHEST) & 3 (AT WORLDS END), a Jerry Bruckheimer production. A Gore Verbinski film.
Scene; Used in; PIRATES II "The Coffin Gun" that Capt. Jack shoots the crow pecking at the lid of the coffin. Also the scene where Capt. Jack boards the Black Pearl and takes out his frustration out by shooting the monkey on the top deck.
Note; This is PROP. (#1, primary) of (3) similar French Double Barrel Flintlock Pistols used/fired in the filming.
