A Fine Antique English Flintlock Pistol by; 'T. MONCK JUNr, LONDON' in the Queen Anne style, circa. 1815-1820. 2.1/8" octagon turn-off barrel struck w/a Birmingham PROOF mark, maker engraved signature on top flat. Beautiful decorative engraved frame, breech struck w/(2) Birmingham PROOF marks. Action had a sliding safty lever (now missing, broken off during the period of use). Frizzen spring w/old period weld repair. Wonderful one piece checkered stock w/silver wrist escutcheon, and light scratches and dings from years of handling. 8" overall. A very high quality pistol in good working order.
