A Fine and Rare English Cased Set of Duelling Pistols by; (Joseph) "GULLEY, LONDON" circa. 1799-1804.  9" .65-66 cal. octagon browned steel barrels w/approx. 90%+ original browning remaining w/patches of light salt and pepper pitting and marked; w/(2) private Tower proofs; an oval  w/a "CROWN" over "CP" and an oval w/a "CROWN" over "V" and engraved; "LONDON" on the top flat near breech.  Locks are marked; "GULLEY" roller frizzen springs and rain proof pans.  Wonderful walnut stocks are solid with a few handling dings and 95% original varnish.  15.25" overall length.  Fine engraved steel furniture w/approx. 75% original blue remaining.  An exceptional cased set of English flintlock duelling pistols in good working order.
 
Accessories include; red leather covered 3-way powder flask.  bullet mold, cleaning rod, a period quill feather pen, turned bone capsule, turn screw, powder measure, patches, flints, balls and tow.
 
Original English box w/original green "notty" green baize and original trade lable by; "Gulley, GUN - MAKER, No. 252, Oxford Street near Park Street.", "Will Undertake to make Guns of two Feet eight or ten Inches in the Barrel to Shoot equal to Guns of any Length without Exception." 
 
Box Measures:  18" X 9.5" w/dove-tail corners.
