Wonderful War of 1812 US Flintlock Martial Pistol; 

A Rare Antique American US Navy Model 1808 Contract Flintlock Ship's Pistol w/belt hook by, 'S. NORTH, BERLIN, CON.', TOTAL produced; 3,000, circa.1808-1810.  10 1/8" .68 cal. round iron unmarked barrel.  Lock marked; w/'AMERICAN FEDERAL EAGLE', 'U. STATES', and, 'S. NORTH, BERLIN, CON.'  Stock is solid with old stress crack repairs to stock at the butt cap, left and, right side of fore-end, w/light scratches and dings from years of service.  A very rare US flintlock martial pistol in good working order. 17" overall.

Note;  This pistol was purchased at auction with the description of being reconverted.  If this is truely the case, it is one of the best reconversions we have ever seen...

Provenance; Ex. Charles DuPont Collection, purchased from Ed Bidder 12/19/79.
Said to have been in the past Collections of; James E. Serven (1951), C. Meade Patterson/Herb Glass (1963), and Ed Bidder (1979).
